8-20-2008 The 2008 STRAIGHT OUTTA Indy AM Comp
and Jam recently went down on July 12th & 13th in
Indianapolis Indiana. This was the 3rd year for the jam,
except this year event organizer Jake Jackson set up an
Am comp as well. The location once again this year was
an indoor hockey rink. No AC made things a bit sweaty
but it didn't seem like anyone really cared. Being that the
event was inside, nobody had to worry about the event
getting canceled due to bad weather. The AM comp was
on Saturday, and the JAM was on Sunday. I showed up a
bit late on Saturday, but saw some FRESH riding going
down! There was a really good turnout for the comp.
However on Sunday, it would have been cool to see some
more dudes show up. I was stoked to see Bill Nitschke
and Andy Cooper bustin moves! Roman Schiavarelli and
Steve Mulder were both on the injured reserve list, so they
didn't ride, even though both had been riding right up to
the event. Hopefully those guys along with Perry Mervar
will make it next year to ride! One of the highlights of the
event was some random girl asked me if she could ride
my bike, and proceded to bust a couple of time machines
before leaving without a trace! More...
